Speaker Bio: Jenny graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Family History and Genealogy. In 1999 she received the Genealogy Accreditation® in Danish research. She also holds the credential of Accredited Genealogical Lecturer™. She worked as an acquisitions genealogist for Ancestry.com. She currently works as a freelance researcher, and she especially enjoys teaching genealogy. She currently serves as a commissioner for the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists. She's also the director of the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG). Over the past few years she has become a popular speaker at regional and national conferences. She has an approachable and energetic style.
Topic Overview: Jenny will be speaking on Beginning Scandinavia Research. She will shared basic genealogical research principles specific to Scandinavia, the major record groups used in genealogical research in Scandinavia, the value of the data contained in major record groups and how to locate the records necessary for successful online Scandinavian research.
